Braies Lake is a small alpine lake in the northeast of Italy at the foot of the Croda del Becco, at 1.495 meters. It is in Val Braies in the province of Bolzano, in the natural park Fanes-Sennes-Braies. The lake is surrounded by an exceptional natural environment with the natural setting of the Dolomites that make it a very visited place in the summer. Due to its small size, it is possible to go around within an hour of walking through a nice easy trail. On the way you will find a charming little church. There is also a beautiful inn by the lake.
You can swim in the lake if you like but the water is very cold.
You can also rent boats to sail on the lake .
If you love hiking, there are others little wilder trails that you could use.
