Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea. It is 4 hours by ferry from Piraeus Port. The most important cities are Chora (port and capital of the island) and Ano Mera. The main activity is tourism that comes with ferries and cruise ships throughout the year. The island can be traveled by bus without any problems, all regions are well served and in summer there are also small fishing boats that operate as taxi to go to different beaches. To see: the village of Ano Mera, the Church of the Panaglia Paraportiana, the district Alefkandra (also known as ‘Little Venice’) and the Archaeological Museum among others.

Tips

If you like the beach, the most famous are: Paranga Beach, Paradise Beach and Super Paradise. You can get there by taxi boat during the summer.

If you are looking for the most typical view of the island, go to see the windmills.

If you like green spaces to relax while taking a meal or coffee, visit the ‘Place Laka’ (main square of the Chora). You’ll find all kinds of shops, cafes and restaurants.

You can also enjoy a day trip to Delos, the sacred island of ancient Greece. There are very interesting archaeological sites to discover.
