MSC Preziosa

The MSC Preziosa is a MSC Cruises liner built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire belonging to the Fantasia Class. The ship had not been ordered by MSC at first but for a Libyan company that after the fall of the Gaddafi regime, could not finish paying for it. As the construction was already underway, it was proposed to MSC that after reflection agreed to continue the construction but some modifications were made to approach the ship to those that MSC already had in the Fantasia Class. The ship was christened in Genoa on March 23rd, 2013 by Sophia Loren. It has 1751 cabins (100 more than those of the same class), 18 bridges and measures 333 meters long and 37.9 wide. There is also the longest toboggan (Vertigo) 120-meter-long, ever seen on a cruise ship, a Swarovski crystal staircase, a nightclub with panoramic views and an infinity pool. There is a private area for a privileged clientele, the MSC Yatch Club, with pool, restaurant, bar, casino, theater and other public areas with butler service. There is also an important Aqua Park to refresh the passengers and an Eataly restaurant on the adults-only deck and the Tiki-bar for children and teenagers.
