Great Huts Resort is an eco-resort in Port Antonio, Jamaica. It’s a special place where you can relax, know more about African culture, about Jamaican History finding you totally immersed in nature surrounded with lovely sea and hills views. Tips

As you will be living in the nature, you must take some items with you such as sneakers, hicking shoes, water shoes, protective solar cream, sunglasses and of course insect repellant.

If you are afraid of small lizards, frogs, hermit crabs and other insects, it isn’t the right place to you.

Ice Hotel, Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, Quebec, Canada

The Ice Hotel is located for the 1st time on the site of Village Vacances Valcartier in St-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, north of Quebec City, in the Province of Quebec, Canada. It is designed each year entirely in ice and snow with beautiful scenery. There are themed rooms and suites with beautiful sculptures. It is a unique concept hotel where you can spend a magical night and enjoy a cocktail in one of its famous ice glasses. This is a non-smoking hotel with an inside fireplace, a reception room, meeting, conference, a common lounge, sauna and indoor spa with free outdoor parking.

Tips

To get there, you have a shuttle service from Quebec, from December 23rd to March 25th (the period of operation of the hotel in 2018). Take it at the Place d’Armes. You will get a discount if you buy your ticket at the same time as the ticket to visit the hotel.

If you go with your family, there is a family pass (2 adults, 3 children). There is also a discount for age 55 and over and children under 5 enter without paying.

There are also  interesting packages: visit with a guided tour or not, guided tour with a cocktail or visit ‘Backstage’ in which in addition to the guided tour you will discover the secrets and procedures for the construction and maintenance of the hotel, visit the workshop where you can make your ice glass with which you will end the visit to the hotel bar drinking a cocktail served in your own glass.

M Pierre Faucher and his son Stefan will be delighted to meet you and tell you the passion they have for this fantastic natural site, this sugar bush of 120 acres offers you the opportunity to know the history and culture of Quebec and Canadian ancestry. The place is in a century-old maple forest. The visit gets you back in the past and you can be part of the history of an era. The current site is like a village of yesteryear with the sugar shack, the bakery, cottages, trails in the forest and it continues to grow while respecting the nature and tradition of yesteryear. You can simply visit it but you can not leave without tasting its homemade dishes, maple syrup, bread made on site, their delicious sugar pie and much more. It is the ideal place to visit with family, friends, to mix with the tourists who appreciate our traditions, in short, you will feel that you will return soon even before you left …

Tips

You can spend a few days in the cottages that can accommodate between 3 and 6 people, celebrate your birthday, your wedding, make business meetings, making your reservation by phone or email. Children under 5 years are free.

There are several trails to walk a few kilometers in the forest.
