The Renote peninsula is located on the Côte de granit rose; in Manche, and belongs to the French commune of Trégastel, in the department of Côtes-d’Armor, in Brittany. It is a protected natural place. You can enjoy the fauna and vegetation of the seaside with beaches and coves; the water is turquoise and the granite pink, which gives a beautiful effect of colors. Very close to the car park, you will find a beach on the right, easily accessible but you will also find other beaches a little more wild if you go around.

Tips

If you want to go around take the customs path and you will do the tour by walking for about an hour.

If you prefer, you can also take a guided tour.

Sleep in a bivouac, Sahara desert, Morocco

The ‘bivouac’ is still a kind of accommodation for many nomadic people in the world. This set of several “Khima” (nomad tents) offers today a pretty convenient way of accommodation for lovers of the desert. In Morocco, it exists several ones that welcome tourists for a unique experience. Today we refer to a bivouac in the Sahara that was reached by us from Zagora. The tour is usually organized with a dromedary ride that takes around an hour and a half or two hours. When you get to the set of nomadic tents, the Berbers (people) welcome you to their home with mint tea and homemade biscuits. They will show you the tents that are well equipped with electricity and shower service and toilets that are normally outside the tents. There is a very large tent which is the dining room and around it all other tents align making a rectangular space in the middle. You will have a typical meal ‘tagine’ with fruit and local pastries. After the meal, life goes around the campfire with autochtonous entertainment, songs and dance await you as you watch a black sky crowded with stars and even smooth-flowing stars that will take your breath away. You go to bed with the idea of watching the sunrise the next day so you must be prepared to go up the big dune around 5:30 AM; it is really worth it!!! In short, an experience to be lived at least once in life …

Tips

If you do not want to make the trip by dromedary, you can also go in a 4×4 truck.
If you do not do the organized tour, you can take the package with one of the agencies on the desert road. It’s better to make a reservation in the morning.
You can bring a small suitcase or a backpack for your overnight in the bivouac especially if you go by dromedary, so take what is really necessary. Do not forget to bring a coat or jacket a little warmer cause the night temperature goes down a little. In the tent it is not cold.

Niagara Falls, Canada-United States border

Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls located on the Niagara River that connects Lake Erie with Lake Ontario in eastern North America on the Canada-United States border. They are the Canadian Falls or Horseshoe, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil. They are known for their width but they are not high, they fall from a height of 52 meters. They are shared by the twin cities of Niagara Falls (New York) in the United States and Niagara Falls (Ontario) in Canada which are connected by three bridges (Rainbow Bridge, Whirpool Rapids and Lewinston Queenston Bridge). The largest Canadian falls are about 792 meters long and the American ones are only 323 meters long. The flow of falls during the high season is 5.720 m3 / s. Water has a diversion for hydroelectric production. The most powerful hydroelectric plants on the Niagara are Sir Adam Beck 1 and 2 on the Canadian side and the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant and the Levingston Pump Generating Plant on the American side. They receive a lot of tourism especially in summer and there are spotlights that illuminate both sides of the falls from dusk to midnight.

Tips

If you visit the falls in summer, you will find several activities to do. On the American side you have hiking trails, an observation tower or the Niagara Scenic Trolley which offers guided tours. On the Canadian side, you have Queen Victoria Park with gardens and terraces that offer views of the American Falls and the Horseshoe; there is also an underground path that leads you into observation rooms that give the illusion of being inside the falls themselves. You also have the observation point of Skylon Tower.

Maid of the Mist cruises will take you into the whirlpools behind the falls and the cable cars will transport you over the whirlpool behind the falls on the Canadian side.

There are also two zip lines.

On the Canadian side, you’ll find lots of shops and a lively nightlife until late as many hotels for every budget.

If you want to have a great meal all you can eat, you can go to the Casino on the Canadian side; it’s worth it.
