Breakaway, Norwegian Cruise Line

The Breakaway is a Norwegian Cruise Line owned vessel that was built in 2013 with capacity for almost 4,000 passengers and over 1,600 crew members. The ship has the free style service that allows passengers to choose their own schedules for meals and shows and also the opportunity to be free as to how to dress on board. It has 15 complete floors and a sixteenth and seventeenth floor only for activities. On deck 8, you’ll find the Waterfront, a quarter-mile walk along the ocean, perfect for relaxing or just walking. You will also find an interesting range of restaurants and bars, among which there are five paying restaurants. Talking about entertainment, there are 3 main shows that are played alternately in the theater and other various presentations in the different rooms or bars. Parents and children will be delighted with the waterslides, the giant waterslide, the climbing wall and the swimming pool. For adults there is also a 9-hole mini golf, spas, a paying section for massages, sauna and beauty treatments. It has a reserved section, called the Haven, with more luxurious and refined facilities with 24-hour butler service, concierge service and private solarium. There are also some studio cabins for singles with a private section for them as well as activities. There are duty-free shops, a large casino, a disco, a library, meeting rooms, a section reserved for teenagers aged 13 to 17 and an ice bar.

Tips

With your online check-in, you can also purchase the beverage package, a choice of discounted specialty restaurants, pre-paid tips and other promotions. On site, prices are a little more expensive than if you buy it in advance.

There is no captain’s night or gala like on other ships so you do not need to bring clothes for a gala evening.

Grand Prix Formula 1, Little Italy, Montreal, Quebec, Canada

During the weekend of the Grand Prix Formula 1, Little Italy is celebrating too. You will find games and free activities including a mini-karts Ferrari courses, restaurants and cafes with terraces on the streets that are completely closed for the event, automobile clubs kiosks, racing and vintage cars exposed, inflatable games, face painting and of course all the shops in the area open. The event runs from Friday to Sunday in the afternoon until 23:00; culminating on Sunday, day of the Grand Prix, at 22:00.

Tips

To go, it's suitable to arrive by subway; stations Jean Talon and De Castelneau, blue line, since many streets are closed and parking is difficult.
It's an activity to share with family or friends.
The evening will end with a show where there will be the opportunity to buy tickets to see it sitting.
It is possible to attend the Grand Prix on Italian cafes screens after 13h00.

De los Charcones Square, Navalcarnero, Madrid, Spain

De los Charcones Square is located in Navalcarnero, Madrid, Spain. Formerly in the rainy season, where now stands the square, large puddles were formed; ‘ Charcones ‘ in Spanish, that is why the place was baptized with that name. The place is quite spacious and apart from the use as a place of recreation, it is used as an outdoor cinema in summer. It is very close to the arena or Plaza de Toros Felix Colomo. Not far from the square, there is the Park ‘De los Charcones ‘ with an artificial lake and many green spaces.

Tips

The square is a good place to get some rest, if you visit the city on foot, there are benches to sit down but no so many trees in the shade so if the day is hot, you should better continue walking a little to rest directly in the park.
