Emerald Pool, Thailand

Emerald Pool, (‘Sa Morakot’ in Thai), located 60km from Krabi in a national park, is a natural pool of clear water in the middle of the jungle. To get there you must walk around 800 metres in the wilderness through a tropical rainforest, the sound of crickets and frogs will accompany your walk. Its name is due to the beautiful emerald colour that give its waters. You can dive into this beautiful pool and also stroll in the jungle. You will find well maintained paths and you could admire the beauty of this jungle to the thousands of shades of green; many of its trees are labeled with the name of their species, you can also enjoy the scent of exotic flowers.

Tips

The best way to arrive is by motorbike or private early morning tour to enjoy the place until tours with lots of tourists begin arriving. You have to pay the access.
Remember that you are in a national park so if you bring plastic bottles or food with you, do not leave anything on the ground, take the waste with you please!
