Lindos, Rhodes, Greece

Lindos is a charming village located 55 km from the city of Rhodes, on the east coast of the island of Rhodes. The village is very picturesque with its beautiful white houses and a very important archaeological site, the Acropolis of Lindos. You will find alleys and you can easily get lost as this was intended for its construction, to defend itself from the pirates. You will also find several shops, bars and restaurants with terraces offering excellent views. You can visit the beautiful beaches which are close to the village. The main beach is on the left at 10 minutes walk and is equipped with umbrellas, deckchairs and a bar; It is a beautiful white sand beach and crystal clear waters. There are also two other beautiful beaches but you have to cross the village; you can ask the locals and they will tell you how you can get to the Bay of St. Paul. The airport is 50 km from the village.

Tips

To get to the village you can rent a car, take a taxi but it is a bit expensive or if you have the time, take the bus which will leave you on site after about 1h30 because it will make several stops but it is good if you want to see a little more of the area. To visit the archaeological site, it is advisable to go early because it’s usually hot and sunny. Admission isn’t free. From there you will also have a wonderful view of the village, the beaches and the bay. Wear comfortable shoes that do not slip and do not forget to protect yourself with sunscreen and bring sunglasses and water.
