Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. This is both a city and a province. The city is located in the delta of the Chao Phraya River that runs through it by determining two large areas, the right bank remained more traditional traveled by many khlongs, canals connected to the river that gave it the nickname of the ‘Venice of Asia’ and the left bank, more developed, where we almost found all the tourist attractions, the business center, the metro network and all modern towers. Bangkok is located only 2 meters above sea level, causing floods during the monsoon season; built on a former swamp area. The Asian economic boom of the 1980s and 1990s led many multinational companies to set up their regional headquarters. The city has essentially temples, but none is earlier than the late eighteenth century. The oldest one is the Wat Pho with its famous reclining Buddha. To see: the enclosure of the Royal Palace which houses the Wat Phra Kaeo and the Emerald Buddha, national emblem; Wat Saket (or Temple of the Golden Mountain); Wat Arun (or Temple of Dawn) on the river; Wat Traimit with its golden Buddha of 5.5 tons (the largest gold statue in the world); the Wat Benchama Bophit (in Carrara marble); the Chao Mae Tuptim (oratory to Tuptim goddess), dedicated to fertility; Vimanneck the residence, a former royal palace, now a museum, considered the largest golden teak building in the world; among others.

Tips

It is convenient to visit the city from November to April (dry season).
Bangkok is known for its many taxis available everywhere and at any time (the great majority are of different colors Toyota Corolla) but you can also find motorbike taxi and tuk-tuk (in ttourist places) and buses and skytrain and one semi-underground subway.
Bangkok is known for two very different reasons; nightlife with bars and ‘go-go girls’ or the floating markets (small teak boats) used both means of transport and stall, where women topped with a straw hat for protection from the sun, sell the products of the hinterland.

Emerald Pool, Thailand

Emerald Pool, (‘Sa Morakot’ in Thai), located 60km from Krabi in a national park, is a natural pool of clear water in the middle of the jungle. To get there you must walk around 800 metres in the wilderness through a tropical rainforest, the sound of crickets and frogs will accompany your walk. Its name is due to the beautiful emerald colour that give its waters. You can dive into this beautiful pool and also stroll in the jungle. You will find well maintained paths and you could admire the beauty of this jungle to the thousands of shades of green; many of its trees are labeled with the name of their species, you can also enjoy the scent of exotic flowers.

Tips

The best way to arrive is by motorbike or private early morning tour to enjoy the place until tours with lots of tourists begin arriving. You have to pay the access.
Remember that you are in a national park so if you bring plastic bottles or food with you, do not leave anything on the ground, take the waste with you please!

Boracay, Philippines

Boracay is a small island in the Visayas archipelago, in the Philippines. It is located about 300 km south of Manila and less than a kilometre from the northern tip of the island of Panay, in the administrative region VI or Western Visayas. It is attached to the province of Aklan. Oriented north-north-west, the island measuring six kilometers long for one or two kilometers large. With several large white sand beaches, one of the most beautiful is ‘White Beach’, also the most visited by tourists. Since the 1970s, she became a popular tourist destination. It also has a golf course. It is accessible by boat from Panay, where the airport is, just across the strait that separates them. It is also famous for being one of best destinations for relax, elected in 2012 as the best island in the world by the international travel magazine ‘Travel + Leisure’. She is known both for its tranquillity than for its nightlife. White Beach, the main beach of tourism, has a good infrastructure to receive tourists, hotels, houses for rent are available even as restaurants and shops. The beach is about 4 km long. In the central part, about two kilometers, there is a trail known as the seaside path that separates the beach itself from the beachfront establishments. The 2nd Beach in popularity is Bulabog Beach, main area of windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Boracay is divided for the purpose of conservation and use of land, it has 400 hectares of pristine forest and 628,96 hectares of farmland.

Tips

The island is so small that all activity is nearly done on the beach. There’s nothing to see inside. All traditional beach activities are present, from the jet – ski to the turn towed banana, you choose. You can also make snorkeling (mask, snorkel) but there are also clubs of diving which are divided among Japanese, Korean and European, you will find it a bit odd but this is how it works.
To move, you can do it on foot and along the beach it is always nice.
As Boracay is the island that is fashionable at this moment, it is the most expensive place in the Philippines.
If you do not want to party all the time, it’s better to choose other beaches to stay.
