The Be Live Collection Canoa Hotel is a resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic located near the Eastern Nature Park and Bayahibe Beach. It is directly on Dominicus Beach. It is an all inclusive hotel and you can find several types of rooms and also villas for couples or families. There is a spa where you will find jacuzzis, saunas and you can have the opportunity to get massages. Standard rooms have one king or two double beds according to your request, flat screen TV, complete bathroom with separate shower, hair dryer, coffee maker, minibar and a large terrace overlooking the gardens and the amenities of the hotel complex but the wi-fi and the safe have extra charges (payable locally). Point Loma Lighthouse, San Diego, United States

The old Point Loma Lighthouse is located on the Point Loma Peninsula at the mouth of San Diego Bay in San Diego, United States. It has not operated since 1891 as a lighthouse but is open to the public as a museum. Its construction began in 1854 on a cliff of nearly 130 meters and was finished in October 1855 but its function began only a month later. At his side, they built a small building that was used to store the wood, the oil as other supplies, but in 1875, a portion was converted into a two-room apartment for the assistant guardian of the lighthouse. In the museum you will find maps and documents about Point Loma and its history as the original objective of the lighthouse. As the lighthouse was built in height, it was not seen very often with the fog or low clouds that is why in 1891 it was replaced by another that had been built at a lower altitude. It was restored in 1980 and furniture of the time where it was used as an apartment, was put on the spot.

Tips

If you’re lucky, you’ll be greeted by volunteers representing people who worked or lived there.

The lighthouse tower is closed to the public but there are dates when you will find it open; on August 25th (anniversary of the National Park Service) and on November 15th (anniversary of the lighthouse).

If you like walking, enjoy strolling through the park and you’ll have beautiful views of the ocean and the city of San Diego.

Love Park, Miraflores, Lima, Peru

Love Park is located in Miraflores in Lima Province, Peru. It was opened on February 14th, 1993 on St. Valentine’s day. There is a sculpture dedicated to love called The kiss by the Peruvian artist Victor Delfin. They are two young lovers who are kissing. It has 12 metres long and 3 metres high. The Park is located beside the bridge Villena Rey, a place where couples in love going to see the sunset, a magnificent view over the Pacific Ocean. There are also traditions such as for example, couples of just married who go after the ceremony to concretize their act with a kiss. Of course, on February 14th (St. Valentin’s day), couples fill the Park and there’s a competition among them called ‘The longest kiss’. The Park is bounded by a wavy wall where you can see Peruvian poets’ romantic phrases such as: ‘ I undress you as I peel a fruit ‘ by Jorge Díaz Herrera’ or ‘My dream is a lost island’ by Alberto Vega or ‘Poetry can change poison into sweet’ by Abelardo Oquendo among others.

Tips

If you like to plan in parachute, next to Love Park, you will find Raimondi Park , where you can launch from.
The area where the Park is located is a succession of docks excellent to jog or just cycle. There is also a lighthouse at the end of the road.
If you like shopping, you will find the Larcomar Mall with many restaurants and shops of famous brands not far from the park.
Of course, if you like the beach, it is a good place to enjoy it. The sea complete the beautiful landscape.
