Marina di Camerota, Italy

Marina di Camerota is an Italian seaside place, renowned both for the quality of the natural environment surrounded by the rich hills of maquis Mediterranean typical of Cilento than by the quality of its waters. It is the largest town of Camerota in the province of Salerno, Campania; also known as ‘The Pearl of Cilento’. The village and port of the commune is located south of the coast of Cilento, by Tyrrhenian Sea. It is also an interesting place beacause there are paleontologic caves, with human fossils discovered in the 1980s. One of its caves, in the Lentiscella area, is a museum where you can find a small schooner (Leone di Caprera)  that crossed the Atlantic ocean from Montevideo to Livorno in 1880-1881.
