Beto Carrero World is a theme park in Penha, Santa Catarina, Brazil. It was opened in 1991 by João Batista Sérgio Murad, better known as Beto Carrero; an artist playing a cowboy role. It began with a giant wheel and improvised shows under circus tents. Today it is considered the largest theme park in Latin America; an entertainment complex with rides, daily shows and a zoo. The park has seven different zones depending on the thematization. There is a motocross track, a go-kart track, a bowling alley, shops and restaurants. Among the attractions we find the Castle of Nations located at the entrance; being the largest building in the complex; the Carrousel, a 4d cinema, the place of events, several wheels from where you can have a beautiful view of the park and the region, a German city paying tribute to the German immigration of the province, an island of pirates, the tower of horror, a Russian mountain that reaches 50 meters in height and reaches 90 km / hour, etc. There is also a section that was realized with the collaboration of the company Dream Works with the style of the film Madagascar.

Tips

It is adequate to spend a minimum of 2 or 3 days in a local hotel if you want to visit several attractions. The park is too big to be able to cover it in one day.

If you only have one day, it would be better to get information before managing your time with the attractions you want to do, especially if you are going with children.

Consider that the climate of the area is usually hot so drink plenty of water, bring your sunglasses and sunscreen.

 

Galerías Pacífico, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Galerías Pacífico is one of the largest and most traditional shopping centers in Buenos Aires. This is the most frequented by tourists, the shopping center is home to the prestigious international brands, has a major restoration and the prestigious Borges Cultural Centre is located in an area of the building. It occupies an entire block and the streets surrounding it are Florida, Córdoba, San Martin and Viamonte. The building was built in 1881 as a commercial place to a shop by departments ‘Au bon Marché’, at this time, one of the most important in the Argentinian capital, it welcomed since 1896 the Museum of fine arts, today located in another place. At this time, four murals of Argentinian artists have been incorporated: Roux, Alongo and Josefina Robirosa. Its beautiful architecture and works that contains make that tourists consider it one of the most beautiful malls in the world.

Tips

Do not forget your camera when you visit this mall because you will regret it deeply. It is one of the few commercial places where buy remains the second option before such artistic beauty.
You can take advantage of the visit to several things that also have nothing to do with shopping. This shopping centre has a concert hall and an exhibition room, then go to the information centre for more information on what is happening at the time of your visit especially if you like tango because tango shows are very demanded by tourists.
You will also find ATMs if you need to withdraw money from your bank account even as places to make international calls or Internet connection.
If you do not already know the “alfajores” (Argentinian typical pastry), take your time and enjoy one with a good coffee, at the cafe called “Havanna” (also one of the trademarks of the alfajores) which, according to the majority, are the best.

Pipa, Tibau do Sul, Rio Grande of North, Brazil

Pipa is a well-known beach, 85 km south of Natal, in the municipality of Tibau do Sul; State of Rio Grande of North in Brazil. It has this name because when the Portuguese went by boat, they saw a rock in the shape of a barrel of wine and that is precisely what the name Pipa means in Portuguese. First it was a small fishing village but once the surfers discovered it, the place became known everywhere. From the town of Tibau do Sul, you can meet a series of beaches and Pipa is one of them. Another well-known beach is the Beach of Love, very popular with tourists and surfers as well. You will find hostels, hotels, restaurants, bars and shops open all year round. There is also a sea turtle preservation area not too far from the village.

Tips

If you want to practice kite-surfing, you will find a better place between Pipa and Tibau.

If you like the night, the village is also known for having a quite active nightlife.
